The 100th official commencement ceremony for the School District of University City was held on May 15 at Chaifetz Arena.

According to Superintendent Sharonica Hardin, the first graduating class had 12 students, six males and six females while the 2017 graduating class is comprised of 185 young people.

The U. City band and orchestra, along with musicians from Brittany Woods Middle School entertained by playing the classic “Pomp and Circumstance” along with other music. The U. City choir also performed. Families and friends cheered on the graduates as they crossed the stage.
