If seniors TaQuoara Hardieway and Christa Roach could have changed anything about the fashion show, it would have been for them to have more time to prepare for it.

Roach felt like the fashion show was rushed and she would have liked to have had more rehearsals to help with the flow of the show. They would also have liked to promote the show more to increase the size of the audience.

“Emotion was my biggest obstacle in this whole process…” said Roach. “It was also hard to meet deadlines. Everyone was asking so much, it was hard to give them what they wanted.”

The show was the first fashion show U. City has put together in several years. Roach and Hardieway spearheaded it and Ms. Coby, teacher, sponsored it.

“You could tell that TaQuoara and Christa were really passionate about what they are doing,” said senior Juanita Robinson.

Robinson was impressed with the turnout, considering U. City has not hosted a fashion show in several years. At times, however, the show seemed disjointed and had an extended intermission just after it started.

“The models walked well but it could have been more organized,” said senior Keana Henderson.

Coby made a point to mention that the fashion show was conceived and organized by the students. They set their mind to it and got it done. Her role in this process was just to oversee it, and the students took care of everything else. In the end, the students netted over 300 dollars that was given to the freshman class.
