This is my first year on the U-Times newspaper, and I’m psyched to be a part of such an amazing crew of people! On top of being a staff writer for the U-Times, I’m also a staff writer for The Affinity Magazine, a social justice magazine made by teens for teens. With all the writing I do, I don’t get much free time, but when I do, it’s full of fun stuff and cool activities. I’m currently the vice-president of our Latin Club, a member of the soccer team, a full-time member of the Golden Explosion marching band (or, as most people at U. City call it, “the band”) and a member of our recently established Board Game Club. I also hope to be on the mock trial team, so that’ll be something to look forward to. I hope to go into journalism as a career, but I also want to continue playing my instruments. My search for a career that allows time for both continues.
