Free things to do in St. Louis

As a highschool student, financial stability is difficult to achieve. However, St. Louis makes it easy for students to find things to do on the weekend, with free attractions such as the Zoo, the Art Museum and Muny. But there is only so many times one can stare at a red panda, or see a play.

The internet makes it less difficult for students to experience the city and all of the affordable events. But not everyone knows where to look. Looking for fun things can get stressful and time consuming.

Below, here is a list for free or affordable events for students to go to.

Here are a few free events during the month of late October through November.

 

Fri.,Oct. 9 through Friday, October 30: Halloween at Grants Farm (Weekends Only)

Sat., Oct. 10 through Sun., Nov. 1: Peanuts The Great Pumpkin Patch Express- Union Station

Sat., Oct. 24: Gateway Arch 50th Anniversary-Kiener Plaza in Downtown St. Louis, 10:30 am-8:30pm

Oct. 24, 2015: Tenth Life Catwalk-Tower Grove Park

Sun., Nov. 1, 2015 until Sun., Nov. 15,-37th Annual St. Louis Jewish Book Festival-Jewish Community Center

Thurs., Nov. 5, 2015 through Sun., Nov.15,-The 24th Annual Whitaker St. Louis International Film Festival

Fri., Nov. 6, 2015-First Fridays at the Science Center-St. Louis Science Center (Starts at 6)

Fri., Nov. 6, 2015: First Fridays-Grand Center, closes at 9pm

Thurs., Nov. 12, 2015: Cherokee Street Celebration-Cherokee Street, 5pm-11pm
