Signs outside a teacher's door recognize "adopted" student atheletes. "I visited Ms. Key in her classroom on day during the rotational period, and I saw my name on her wall," Journee Glasby, freshman, said. "I got very excited because one of my teachers from before said I was adopted but I didn't know who. I had to find out on my own. It just made me feel like our relationship was special and that I was loved."

Many students come to school tired and stressed from everything that they have going on outside of school. "We have a lot of outside of school problems that cause students to get unfocused," sophomore Bayron Ramirez said. "Students need to get checked up on and teachers need to be more interactive with them instead of having them do some online assignment."
Apathy is clear amongst students but remains unresolved
The URite students gather to serve the food they cooked. “I like doing that,” senior Joshua Henderson said. “Helping out the staff, serving the food.”
