Students organize brief Ferguson demonstration

Students+organize+brief+Ferguson+demonstration

Instead of heading immediately to class after the ringing of the bell, students eating during A lunch decided to perform a sit-in. The protest was in response to the decision not to indict Darren Wilson which was announced before Thanksgiving Break. While a small group of students exited the cafeteria at the sound of the bell, others remain seated. Administrators later informed students of disciplinary actions that were to be carried out if the students decided to stay in the cafeteria after the tardy bell sounded. Upon hearing the announcements, students fled the cafeteria and rushed to class hoping to escape a referral.
